Unboxing of our new TV – long overdue entry into the world of HDTV

Dearest Mummy,I have finally moved in last Saturday. I have done up some bit of the apartment and it looks really nice. Thanks for all the plants and gifts you have given me. Guess what? I have finally purchased the Vizio VF551XVT. I have been saving up for this for quite some time now. Not that it needed much saving, because I have gone through many LCD catalogs and the price of the Vizio VF551XVT is absolutely cheap. But you know how things are, with the apartment to do up, the furniture to buy, and me planning a trip to Europe next spring. I have set up the Vizio VF551XVT in my bedroom. It is a 55-inch LCD HDTV with fantastic features. It has LED backlighting instead of fluorescent lights. Oh Mum, I just can’t wait to show this off to my friends, when they come for my house warming party next week. There are so many features in the Vizio VF551XVT that simply blew me away. The full 1080p high definition resolution gives crystal clear pictures while the 240Hz Smooth Motion reduces blurring and makes transitions fluid. The colors are rich too; our Disneyland videos showed up really well on the screen. The sound is loud and clear, without being booming and this is thanks to the SRS sound technology that the TV uses. The picture-in-picture option is another feature that got me attracted to the VF551XVT. As I was scouring for a LCD, I was really surprised to find many HDTVs did not have this feature. Moreover there are also nine fully adjustable picture modes in the TV. I’m sure Dad will love the Basketball, Football, and the Golf modes. The remote is large. The chrome-colored cursor pad is huge and is surrounded by well spaced yellow-backlit buttons that are also easily differentiated. The TV has got great connectivity; there are five HDMI inputs. Four are on the back panel and one is on the side. There’s also an USB input on one side for videos, photos and music on the HDTV. And I really like the fact that it makes a nice giant-screen PC monitor. I had it connected with both HDMI and VGA and it displayed the full resolution of 1920×1080. The TV really looks good on my bedroom wall. It has a non-detachable speaker bar along the bottom. It is silver colored, has a reflective surface, and a see-through panel that shows up my beige wall behind. It weighs just about 90 pounds. I am positive Dad will complain that there’s no power-saving mode in the Vizio VF551XVT. But the LED technology and the aggressive backlight variation really makes it one of the most energy-efficient HDTVs around. I simply can’t have enough of the Vizio VF551XVT. Mum, why don’t you and Dad come to my place during Thanksgiving this time? We could watch some classics together and you can see for yourself how good the Vizio VF551XVT is. Love, Linda

Well, we have a famished crowd out there looking for Vizio reviews! Well my little friend Miss Lily Bug (my boxer) would love to give you her view on the Vizio brand!
Miss Lily Bug just lives to watch the dog shows on Animal Planet, and has been complaining along with my husband about our old gigantic projection TV. The colors are atrocious, they are subdued and it always seems to have a cloud to it. So off we go looking for the best bargain we can for the money we have!
After making inquiries high and low on the internet and in stores, we found the brand Vizio to be what we were searching for! From all the Vizio reviews out there they are dead on! These televisions, whether they are LCD or Plasma, are offered at an excellent price for all the value you receive!
Miss Lily Bug was so impressed with the bright color resolution, and the crisp, clear picture. The colors are so true and vibrant. I don’t think I have seen anything more beautiful either. (Aside from my daughters!) The system was so easy to set up, and the menu navigation is easy as well!
Some people criticize about the fan noise, but I barely hear it at all. The sound is magnificent. It is not like being in a professional surround sound media room, but for the cost it is great! It is also a superb system for video gamers. My daughter has a PS2 and she is enjoying herself with it on this TV instead of the undersized old 19 inch in her room.
Our model is the 46 inch LCD HDTV. We are utterly in love with it, especially in contrast to the old 55 inch 200 lb. waste of space that we had! Miss Lily Bug is in heaven watching all those guys cavorting around the ring!!!
