plasma dont leak, but they burn in and are more expencive and may be damaged by pressure, LCDs dont
I think it’s better to get LCD as it’s not as exposed to burn-in as a plasma would be. Also, look for HDMI ports. HDMI gives you the flexibility of viewing in High Definition. Also, look at screen resolution. Any tv with 720p or higher is a good start. If you’re looking for true high definition, try finding an LCD or plasma with 1080i or 1080p for the ultimate experience. Make sure the television has plenty of inputs/outputs for viewing flexibility. If possible, look at the reviews of the television to see what others whom have purchased it have to say. If you want, go see the product in person to find the picture that best suites you.
If you want to shop online for a great TV, go to
http://www.crutchfield.com (great prices & customer service)
http://www.tigerdirect.com (very low prices & great cust. svc.)
Crutchfield and Tiger Direct have lots of reviews for most of its products, so if you shop with either or, you’ll see plenty of reviews to judge for yourself what’s best. Go with the LCD as it’s a better choice. Best of luck.
The first poster is right. I have no idea why everyone gets excited about plasma. Out of the mainstream choices (CRT, LCD, plasma), plasma would be my third choice.
