I think it’s useless, why not better have a bigger screen..screen must have dark edges for comfort, agree with “sofian268″.
whats amblight ?
omg.. Computers eat more, in a normal computer now days it eats 300 Watts. AND when i last checked Plasma and LCD technologi just uses 175 Watts off power so… and led btw that are the ambilight just use 8 to 12 watts
I cant seem to find this anywhere! what sizes does it come in? any ideas of prices?
if you think i was talking about the light changes you see around the screen maybe you would be right if it was so simple like that..but its not because as i remember it when i had this tv..you have have the Backlight option ON in the meny..and they did a test about how much backlight on LCD tv eat!
contrast.85.brightness.46.color.60 in HD mode.backlight.20.sharpness.60. i use this setting on LG LCD 42…backlight on 100 would eat like 450 and on 50 it ate 298
Ambilight takes only a few watts… it’s all led.
i aint like it because when u watch to a normal tv ur eyes are focused on the schreen now ur getting dry because they elso focusing on the edge of it
The desing is beautiful
flat screens over at shrinkify(dot)com/1g9q
i had 2 47 inch philips full hd with ambilight..but i sold them because i needed the money when i moved to another house..but now i have a LG lcd 42 inch full hd…im glad i sold them because my neighbour has philips with ambilight and he cries every month because of the electric bill…i told him to shutdown the ambilight.
if ur gonna be a hard-ass over the net at least try to prove me wrong you immature little faggot
you’re an idiot ok ?
i couldnt focus on whats on the screen if i tried! this is really dumb in my opinion, theres no real point, and i bet the bezel lights use about half the power of the screen itself. either way thats the most distracting thing in the world!
beautiful!!
Thank you for this Video – Guys, check my Profile
haha that’s wht i thought…but i’m sure they have an option to turn it off if your not too keen on it
Distracting frame!!
i have one. its damn nice
I Wouldnt buy it I rather the black screens
me so want one
what are you talking about. seems you know nothing about philips. you are one of those loosers outhere who failed by trying to cheat philips. try other products maybe of samsung or sony and than tell us about your expierence
before you buy any philips t.v. google ” problems with philips t.v.’s”…….they have a bad reputation for just going blank and then philips wont stand behind anything….f@%# philips products …….BOYCOTT
Wouldn’t want that as a living room TV, but it is pretty cool.
I know that it dont. We got an older version of the Ambilight and you dont really think about it,.
There is actually alot of facts and information/calculations behind the idea of ambilights, the general point is to make the tv easier on the eyes, and you can actually feel it when you look at it. Your eyes do not get tired as fast and so on..
no stupid idea. the philips aurea 2 has a greatful picture quality better than most other tvs. it is very near the picture quality of the philips 42PFL9803(LEDLux), because the aurea2 has a glass filter for better contrast in the front. The ambilight is gorgeous too!
