Go to Brandsmart or Best Buy. Circuit City is also good.

Well first thing you have to condsider is if your going to mount this tv on the wall or not. That will really determine if your going to want to go Plasma or LCD VS. Rear progection or DLP. Now LCD and Plasma will both cost you about $1000 more then most rear projection tvs or DLP tv’s (aside from Sony’s SXRD line of Tv’s). Now you can get a nice Hitachi 55″ HD Rear progection TV for around $1,999 or a Samsung 52″ DLP for around the same price. The down side to these tv’s is that they are not viewable from all angles. If you want to have that ablity your going to be looking at Plasma and LCD. Now most consumer electronics stores will not have an LCD over 40″ aznd they also won’t have a plasma bigger then the Hitachi’s 55″ HD Plasma which will set you back about $4999 (though circuit city has an online special right now for $900 off). That Tv has a particularly nice picture but it isn’t fantastic and its from last year. Eather way you look at it your going to be spending at least $2000 if not more on the Tv and that doesn’t even include wires, mounts, stands, instalation, etc. Good cables can run about $96 while stands and mounts will run about $199 and up. I’m not even going to get into the wild world that is exended warenties but I would look into them on Plasma and Rear progection. The things you look from on Rear projection are: (1) Bulb replacement (2) Cleaning (3) In home serive (4) replacement plan if the Tv can not be repaired. On plasma warenties look for the same thing except that there will be no bulb repleacement due to plasma’s lack of bulb. At any rate hope this gives you alittle insite into TV buying. Good luck
Depends on your location. But I would strongly suggest JVC brand
